  Day 1: Arrive Siliguri – drive to Gangtok

  • On your arrival NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport our driver will meet and greet you.
  • Drive to Gangtok located at a distance of 130 km and 4:00 hour drive. Gangtok is capital of Sikkim and is situated at a height of 5500 feet with spectacular views of Mount Kanchenjunga.
  • On your arrival in Gangtok, check in at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day is free. In the evening you can go for a stroll to MG Road.
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

  Day 2: Gangtok - local sight seeing

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast we take you for half day sight seeing tour of Gangtok visiting:
    - Do Drul Chorten –Stupa.
    - Research Institute of Tibetology – houses a collection of rare Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts.
    - Govt. Institute of Cottage Industry (a preservation center for traditional arts and crafts of Sikkim).
    - Enchey Monastery (a 200 year old monastery).
    - Hurhurey Dara at Namnang.
    - Gangtok Ropeway (cover a distance of 1 km in 7 minutes and takes you to the highest point in Gangtok).
  • You may also take an optional early morning tour (at extra cost) of Gangtok visiting:
    - Tashi View Point – 8 kms from the city, one can get magnificent views of Mount Kanchenjunga from here.
    - Ganesh Tok – located 7 Kms from the city on a ridge, one can see the whole town of Gangtok from here. You can also see Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Siniolchu.
    - Hanuman Tok – 9 km from the city, situated at a height of 7200 feet, it is a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

  Day 3: Gangtok - Tsongmo Lake Excursion

  • Have an early breakfast at the hotel.
  • At around 8 am leave for Tsongmo Lake, some 40 km from Gangtok, situated at an altitude of 12,300 feet and it is 3:00 hour drive. This is the most visited lake in Sikkim.
  • The lake is associated with many myths and legends and is considered sacred by the locals.
  • We also visit Baba Harbhajan Mandir situated at an altitude of 13,200 feet. Some 18 km from Tsongmo lake is the famous Nathula Pass. You can optionally book visit to Nathula Pass and an extra cost. But this has to be done at time of your booking only as you need to have a permit to visit Nathula pass. Foreign national are not allowed to visit and photography is strictly prohibited. Nathula can not be visited on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Return to Gangtok by evening and stay overnight.

  Day 4: Gangtok to Lachen

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast drive to Lachen located at a distance of 107 kms.
  • En route we stop at Tashi View Point, Kabi Lungtsok, Naga Waterfall, the Confluence of Lachen Chu & Lachung Chu at Chungthang.
  • Arrive at Lachen late in the afternoon and check in at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day at leisure.
  • Spend overnight in the hotel.

  Day 5: Lachen - Lachung

  • Early breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast and leave for Thangu Village located at an altitude of 13450 feet, a remote high altitude village of Tibetan Nomads & Chopta Valley.
  • From Chopta Valley we drive to Gurudongmar Lake. It is 30 kms drive which takes about 1:30 hour. It is the Second highest lake in India, situated at an altitude of 17143 feet, close to Tibet Border. Please note that visit to the lake is weather permitting and prior permission need to be taken.
  • Return to Lachen for lunch. After lunch visit Lachen Monastery.
  • Drive to Lachung which is 47 kms and 2:00 hour drive. En route visit Bhim Nala Waterfalls.
  • After breakfast drive to Lachung located at a distance of 116 km and 3:45 hour drive.
  • Lachung located in North Sikkim is a picturesque mountain village situated at an altitude of 8610 feet and acts as a base for travellers visiting Yumthang valley. Located on the banks of Lachung Chu (river) it is famous for apples, peaches and apricots.
  • On your arrival in Lachung, check in at the hotel.
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Lachung.

  Day 6: Lachung – Yumthang valley excursion - Gangtok

  • Early breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast drive to Yumthang valley located at a distance of 25 km and an altitude of 11800 feet. It is also popularly known as Valley of Flowers. Shingba Rhododendron sanctuary located here is worth visiting. 24 species of Rhododendron flowers bloom here between April to May end. Also visit the hot water springs.
  • From here you can travel optionally (at extra cost) to Zero point. Zero point literally means end of the world. Situated at an altitude of 15500 feet it is 2 hours drive from Yumthang and very close to China Border.
  • Return to Lachung for lunch.
  • After lunch drive to Gangtok.
  • On your arrival in Gangtok, check in at the hotel.
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

  Day 7: Depart Gangtok

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out time is 12:00 noon.
  • Transfer to NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport, located at a distance of 130 km and 4:00 hour drive, for your train / flight to onward destination.

• 1 Night stay at hotel in Lachung with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

• For Extra adult in the room we will provide an extra bed (wherever possible), but some hotels only provide a roll out bed and have no provision of an extra bed.
• Child sharing parents room will be accommodated without an extra bed.

• The vehicle used is non air-conditioned and is available for point to point services only and is not at disposal. Clients are requested to follow the timings in the program. In case any services are missed due to delay in departure, the operator will not be responsible for any refunds.
• In Gangtok local sightseeing can only be done by smaller vehicles (hence Innova or Sumo will not be available for local tour).
